Vintage Green Glass Carboy

Circa 20th century.

Size 31cm high x 16cm diameter.

They were originally used daily to carry wine. Often these Carboys were stored in a huge metal crate or wrapped in a wicket basket to carry.

This wonderfully decorative curvaceous demijohn comes from France. 100 year old hand blown glass makes for unperfect perfection.

They look rather fabulous just resting on the floor in a minimalist space as they are so very sculptural. Or filled with fairy lights year round creating the perfect ambience.
