Size 36cm long x 30cm wide x 42cm high.
A fantastic plaster bust of an unknown prominent individual from the twentieth century! We believe this bust was retrieved from a now gone Auckland High Court building many moons ago.
This bust is in the manner of Anton Teutenberg (1840-1933), who made the major stone sculptures at Auckland's Supreme Court as well as many other carvings for notable Auckland structures.
We cannot be certain that Anton Teutenberg ever worked in plaster because this knowledge has been lost to time. This, on the other hand, is a genuinely beautiful unique piece of Auckland history that lends itself perfectly to being a fantastic statement piece for any home!
