European in origin, with a Turkish/Ottoman influence.

This pot is lead-glazed earthenware and often gets mistaken for majolica, however in practice this slipware is decorated with a mix of oxides and painted on coloured glaze over an ivory slip.

Beautiful patina suitable in the home or garden.
